7/27/2023 0 Comments Two birds on a wire lyricsIn front of the bench there's this imaginary "line" that's the wire. So the song starts off with them hanging out on a bench. I imagine them in a middle school or highschool era. Then there's Shay, he's insecure, and mostly relies on his friendship with Kasu. Kasu is a happy and energetic guy, popular, and just having a great life. This song symbolizes the guilt of the mistakes we all make. They still haven't learned to let go.Īnd at the end of the song, the person hopefully makes peace with themselves. "I won't let go of your hand' symbolizes that they're still holding on to that one mistake/person. And the lyrics "He says that he will but he is a liar" says that even though that person's hardest efforts to let go, they still couldn't bring themselves to. The lyrics "One tries to fly away" symbolises the person trying to let go of their guilt. I don't know, this was just my take on it.Įdit: Okay, after reading this again, I feel like this was a little under explained. ![]() Did a mistake that they regreted for the rest of their life.Įither way, the person is conflicted on whether or not to let that part of their life go because of the guilt that had been eating away at them for years.Īnd finally, they learn to make peace with themselves. I think that the song is about a person who either:ġ. One try’s to fly away and the other.” Person A “flew away” and stepped out of the comfort zone with someone else meaning person A found fell in love with someone else who was ready to be in a relationship. Eventually, Person B releases that person A has lost interest and they just lost the love of their life because they were to scared to open up, “two birds on a wire. Person B says that eventually they will get out of their comfort zone but they know deep down inside they won’t, “Ones never going to let go of that wire, he says that he will but he’s just a liar.”Īnd “the sky’s overcast and I’m sorry.” Is person B saying that it still looks scary to them and they’re still confused and sad. The wire is the comfort zone and the bird flying away is person A, they are trying to get person B to come with them and step out of their comfort zone and start a relationship. I won’t let go of your hand.” but person B won’t budge. Person A try’s to get them to step out of their comfort zone, “I’ll believe it all. Person A trying to convince person B is the part where it says “one says come on and the other says it tired.” Person B has trust issues. “One try’s to fly away from the other” is person A trying stepping out of the comfort zone hopping person B will follow them. They start to catch feelings for each other, person A is ready for a relationship but person B isn’t because of past relationships. They see each other everyday, no one understands them like they understand each other. I see this like 2 people who have been friends for a while become really close. This song really reminds me of our relationship, and i'm very glad i havent seen him ever since. i just cut him off, havent spoken to him since. ![]() but he still lied, and i found out quickly. and recently he messaged me on discord- which i found odd since he still had my number. from out first conversation to our last (before the breakup). My boyfriend, ex boyfriend, had lied, about everything. i didnt see him for a while, until i did, and what i found out just poked more holes in my heart. I was ***heartbroken*** i couldnt- i wouldnt get over him. ![]() and then july 4, 11pm, he broke it off with me. of course i was fine with it! but when i said "oh thats okay, i'm fine with that!" he never told me he had found someone else, i found out myself. and one day he dropped a bombshell on me, the day of my birthday, my boyfriend was poly. I thought i knew him, you know? i believed every word he said, how he loved me. I dated a boy, maybe early summer, we were head over heels for each other! we had met online but it counted as a real relationship, as we had face timed many times yet Well since everyone is sharing their stories, might as well share mine! “Say that they’re always gonna stay together, but one’s, never gonna let go of that wire. It’s and been so long, too long, and he’s been bottling and suicidal and getting worse and eventually learned to just lie and say it’s fine when it’s not. Thing is, Percy doesn’t want to fly away anymore. And at some point, it reaches its limit, and she breaks down and after a while, admits yeah. She snaps at him and yells and they fight and she just keeps ignoring it even as it boils. She lives in denial and repression and gets angry (to cover up the hurt) whenever Percy even _mentions_ Tartarus. And Annabeth wants to stay on the wire if it means not acknowledging the wire. But Annabeth’s not ready yet, so he doesn’t. He wants to talk and have fun and he wants to be happy with Annabeth. ![]() The Tartarus, the depression and PTSD, the anger.
